People will get used to them being around and eventually they can become the way they were raised.However, there are only extreme cases where this could happen. In most cases, children will change for the better once they go off to college or start working for a company where they get to discuss political or social issues with other people. At this point, they can realize how wrong their actions or words can have negative effects on other people.Talking politics and the many topics that can cause problems in high school are a good idea, but do it in moderation. Let them explore and discuss the topic, but do not allow them to push it into a corner labeled controversial. Even when the topic is not too controversial, it is good to let them see other viewpoints.
